Question: I can log into TransCentral but when I select an application from the drop down list I get an access error. What is wrong?
Answer
: When entering your user ID - please use uppercase letters
 
Question: How do I change my password?
Answer: Passwords can be changed on the TransCentral home page. In the upper right hand corner there is a CHANGE PASSWORD box. Please select the box and follow the instructions 
 
Question: Can I use the same password?
Answer
: Passwords expire every 90 days. You cannot use the previous 7 passwords
Question: How short or long can my password be?
Answer
: Passwords must be 6 or more characters. There is no maximum limit
 
Question: Can I use letters or numbers for my password?
Answer
: Passwords can be alpha or numeric or a combination of letters and numbers. 
 
Question: Does it matter if my password is upper or lower case?
Answer
: Passwords are case sensitive. The case in which you enter them is the case you should use. Example “TRANSCENTRAL” is a different password than “transcentral”
 
Question: How often can I change my password?
Answer
: Passwords can be changed only once per day
 
Question: I am getting an error message that the account cannot be accessed because the limited login attempts have been exceeded and I can't log in . What do I do?
Answer
: If an incorrect password is used 5 or more times the account is locked. You will need to send an email to the TransCentralTM administrator using  - carrier. refrigeration@carrier.utc.com or calling 315.432.7733
 
Questions:
1.  I am getting a "page cannot be displayed" message after I Accept Terms & Login, or
2.  I get "page cannot be displayed" message after I log in to TransCentral and try to select an application from the drop down menu, or
3.
  The page appears to freeze and drop-down menus or mouseovers do not function properly
What do I do? 

Answer -  We have 2 solutions:
Solution# 1: If you are using Internet Explorer it is recommended you add the TransCentral website into your Trusted Security Zone- To do this please complete the following steps:  

In Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Click the Security tab, and then click a security zone: Trusted sites.
Click Sites. Click off the "Require server verification" check box
In the Add this Web site to the zone text box, type the Internet
address for the Web site that you want to add to this zone,
You will need to add the following websites - You should be able to
edit and copy
the information below and edit and paste into the text box
http://www.transcentral.carrier.com/

Then select the Add button and select OK   


Solution# 2:  If you are using Internet Explorer (IE) version 6.0 it is recommended you complete the following steps:

In the IE browser Select Tools menu
Select Internet Option – Privacy Tab- select the Advanced button  
On the Advanced Privacy Settings
Put a check box in Override automatic cookie handling
and also check "Always allow session cookies"

Select Accept under both First- party Cookies and Third–party Cookies
Select OK button

On the next screen

Then select Apply and OK
